Advancements in Battery Technology for Electric Vehicles: A Comprehensive Review
Main Article Content
Abstract
The rapid growth of the electric vehicle (EV) market has driven significant advancements in battery technology, which is central to enhancing vehicle performance, reducing costs, and increasing adoption rates. This comprehensive review explores the latest developments in battery chemistry, design, and manufacturing processes that have contributed to improved energy density, longer cycle life, and faster charging capabilities. The paper examines various types of batteries, including lithium-ion, solid-state, and emerging alternatives, highlighting their strengths, limitations, and potential for future application in electric vehicles. Additionally, the review discusses the challenges associated with battery recycling, environmental impact, and the global supply chain for critical raw materials. Through an analysis of recent research and technological trends, this paper identifies key areas where further innovation is required to overcome existing barriers and ensure the sustainable growth of the EV industry. The findings underscore the importance of continued research and collaboration among industry stakeholders to develop next-generation batteries that meet the demands of an evolving automotive landscape.
